Fall is the best!!

Things I love about fall:

-Mixing candy corn and peanuts for a delicious treat
-The fact that Lilly sleeps in her own bed b/c it is getting cooler out and it is made of fleece
-The fact that I am just 6 months aways from being an aunt for the first time!!!(nothing to do with fall, but I am so excited)
-I bought a mulled cider candle that I can't stop burning
-It is good sleeping weather
-Wrapping myself up in a warm blanket and leaving the windows open
-Making big pots of soup and eating them on a cool day
-The smell of burning leaves
-Mums!!!
-Sweatshirts!!
- A reason to turn on the fireplace/heater and fight Lilly for the closest spot
- I heard it was good coon-bear season!!

I'm just 6 months away from being an aunt for the first time too! How exciting! We took preggers shopping today for maternity clothes. She's gonna be so cute!

my favorite is you can run a lot longer because the sun is not beating on you.

Your sick candy corn is the worst candy ever.

Yay for being aunts!!!!!!

Adam- that is why you eat them with peanuts. Give them a fair try.

How often do you make big pots of soup and what is a coon-bear?

Not as often as I would like. I enjoy making chili! It is just easier to come to your house and eat what Deena makes! It is good, too.

Click on either Nick or Lucas' blog from my links section on the right (when you have a lot of time) and you can read all about a coon-bear!

Joel says....a "plug-in fake fire that blows heat" does not qualify for the title of "fireplace."

Jen says... Kudos to Deen for the soup last weekend but one one weekend of fall was enough for me. I'm glad to be back to the sunshine state!

mm...i agree with most all of these comments about fall. I do love the blankets and sweatshirts and the soup and the candles that smell like cider and real cider and burning leaves. yum. all of the above.

Thanks for clearing the coon-bear thing up for me. It sounds a lot like a skunk-ape. I dealt with them many years ago on the islands in southern Florida....but that's another story!
