Today

Some days are just crazy but I wouldn't give it up for a second.  Today we laughed as Austin "talked" and pointed at things all day long.  Someday we will figure out what he is saying.  Today, Nolan got hurt 46 times and screamed at the top of his lungs every single time.  Today, we ate corn on the cob and had home made pizza.  Today, Nolan picked chocolate milk for lunch and Cameron picked strawberry.  Today, Nolan cried because Austin got the last bottle cap.  Today, Cameron read Nolan his naptime story.  Today, the boys called me to the basement to throw balls at me when I came around the corner (Jake wasn't even in on this.) Today, Nolan said he peed all over the floor but I think it was just splashed water and he was trying to not get in trouble for that.  Today, the boys did "therapy" with Austin and got him to climb up and sit on the couch with the cushion off.  Today, Austin climbed up the top set of our steps all by himself.  Today, Cameron found out the name of his first grade teacher and that he has two friends from kindergarten in his first grade class.  Today, we got Hayden's present in the mail and played with the bubble wrap.  Today, Cameron and Nolan got in trouble for climbing on each other about 49 times.  Today, Austin wanted "gok" (milk) instead of water because he knew the other boys had "gok." Today, Nolan said "I just want to sleep by myself tonight and not share a room with Cameron." Cameron looked at Nolan and said, "I feel the same way like Nolan." Then we all laughed for about 5 minutes.  Today, Austin cried and didn't want to go to bed so I gave in and let him come out and watch Mickey Mouse.  Today, Austin pooped in his diaper and said "poop, pee you, stinky." Today, I made stirfry for supper and the rice flopped, so we didn't have rice.  Today, Cameron kept trying to fall asleep but couldn't so he is up at 9:17 helping me write this.  Today, I laughed, yelled, and loved this day.  Thank you God for this day.

The River

I thought it would be fun to take the boys to the river this morning.  We met up with my friend, Carrie and 2 of her boys.  It was a nice thought.......Actually everybody had a  lot of fun except for Austin.  It was his first time standing at the river bank and I thought he would enjoy throwing the rocks in.  He thought it was cool for about 2 minutes, then he wanted to walk right in the river.  He wanted in that water.  Made sense to him since we have been swimming this summer :)  He was very upset the entire time we were there.  What was I thinking?  Cam and Nolan collected little shells and they are soaking in soapy water to be cleaned and added to their collection.  Austin will not be going back to the river anytime soon :)

I did pause to take a picture of his fit to make light of the situation and of course show Jake how much fun he had.  I promise he wasn't rolling down the hill into the water.  It was a stationary fit on the ground.  He had a quick shower when we got home and all is well :)

Snow

We haven't had much snow but we had some on Cameron's birthday!  It was so beautiful.  The flakes were so big.  The boys had fun being outside in it!

I was trying to get to the church to get some Sunday School stuff done and was in a big hurry to get back for Cameron's party and the boys got so excited when they saw the snow falling.  So, we bundled them up and took them out and I am so glad we did.  It was so fun to see how excited they were.  Just a reminder to live in the moment because you might not get that chance again!

One of those moments......

Sometimes I have those moments that I just have to laugh.  Sometimes it is because the boys are just hilarious or sometimes it is because I have to laugh so I don't go crazy :)  I love those moments and try to remember them.  Today, Jake and I took the boys for a little drive to get Cam's birth certificate.  He needs it for kindergarten!  The boys almost always do awesome in the van when we travel.  Today, they did great once again.  We had been gone for awhile and were just about to get home and I looked at Jake and had one of those "these boys are too funny moments."  Cameron was in the back seat making this very odd high pitched noise asking us "can you hear that?  How about this?  Can you hear this one?"  Nolan was in his seat telling the same knock knock joke over and over and it isn't even a good one.  Knock knock. Who's there?  Horse.  Horse who?  Horse Thomas wheels.  It makes no sense and he says it with the most excitement every single time he tells it.  I think we were all on our 508th time of hearing it today.  Austin was yelling "dadadadadadada."  So, all of this was going on at the SAME time and I laughed and thanked God for our 3 healthy little boys.
