This year we had a "staycation" and it was a fabulous idea! We went to a fair, went camping, went to the zoo, got sick, and then took the train to the discovery museum. :) We did get sick about midweek which wasn't a surpise to us at all since that usually happens with us. Here are a few pics of the fair. The boys enjoyed the farm tent, eating corndogs, and riding the rides.
We also celebrating my birthday. It was an interesting day because we had a big storm that caused a lot of damage around town and we also lost power for a few hours. Jake and the boys had made me a red cake and Nolan couldn't wait to tell me about it......"you won't believe your cake!" It was pretty cute. It was a great day and we still ordered out our red lobster and ate it without power. So thankful for all the blessings I have been given the past 30 years.
Then, we went camping for a couple nights. The weather was perfect and we spent lots of time eating, riding the golfcart, and playing outside. I think there may be some more camping trips in our family's future with the 4 boys in all.......
We also took the boys to the zoo. Another beautiful day. Austin is the best baby ever and he has been so wonderful to just ride in the stroller and be content with what we have planned. He is such a blessing. I keep telling Cam and Nolan, they have no idea how awesome it is that their baby brother is so sweet, fun, and just a good baby. Our highlights at the zoo were watching the bears swim, getting ice-cream, seeing baby peacocks, and just having a great day!
Then the boys started to get sick.......all of them. So, we took the next few days off and stayed home to get well. On Jake's next day off we took a train to the Discovery Museum. To say the boys had a great time is a complete understatement. It was a blast, even for Jake and I. We met up with Jake's sisters and mom and the kids had a great time seeing their cousins. We hadn't seen Jen's family since Christmas!
