I have been trying to make a post for a couple weeks and every time I sit down to do it, my pictures won't load :( So, I thought I would at least write a little something.
We have been spending as much time as we can outside with the beautiful weather we have been having. We have grilled out, taken a family bike ride (Cam on his big bike with training wheels and the other two in the pull behind trailer), played at the river, played with bubbles, played on the swing set, played in the sand/water table, and taken walks. So fun that we have been able to do that all in March!
Cameron had kindergarten screening last week. He is very excited about his new school. He did great at screening and I will never forget when we walked in the door and he looked up at me and grabbed my hand and held it as we walked to screening. I can't remember the last time he did that on his own. It was pretty sweet. He is also playing soccer. He has had practices the past 3 weeks and will have his first game in a couple weeks. Can't wait to see him play. It has been fun to see him learn and grow already in his social skills and listening skills.
Nolan still likes to look for animals around the house and give them water. His favorite thing to do right now is play with magnet trains. Its funny because Cam was into the battery operated trains a lot more and Nolan prefers the magnet trains. Nolan enjoys being 2. Yesterday, he said "mommy watch this" and he stood on one foot. It was so cute and funny. He spends a lot of time sifting through sand at the sand table. He is still pretty picky with his food. I find that he does better when I call it things. I made elbow macaroni and spaghetti noodles and called them caterpillars and worms and he couldn't get enough of them. I called it spaghetti the week before and he wouldn't even look at his plate :)
Austin is so aware of our busy family. He loves to watch it all and even joins in with the noise by jabbering. He laughs out loud at the most random things and seems to have an awesome sense of humor. He is usually pretty happy sitting in his stroller watching the big boys play outside right now but is gonna wanna be in the action pretty soon! He is 5 1/2 months and will be starting cereal very soon. This chunky boy will probably love it. He smacks his lips when we are eating and I can tell he is about ready.
Jake and I decided to do the 12 days of Easter with the boys. We are using the resurrection eggs and we talked about Jesus riding in on the donkey last night. Cameron seems to understand it very well and Nolan is interested but will understand things more next year.
