I had to get a physical and TB test this week for my job. There is just something about going to the doctor that makes me a little nervous. It's like I don't think properly. I was sitting with my legs on the side of the bed with the crinkly paper and my doctor told me to lean back. Instead of turning my body to lean back on the bed like any normal person would have done, I chose to lean back on him and make him have to catch me before I almost fall off of the bed. He was nice about it and said, "Um, I meant on the pillow."
It brought back memories of my first TB test at ISU. They inject some fluid in your arm and if you swell up or have a reaction, then you may have TB. My arm chose to swell up. I was pretty concerned, but Heidi and Steph were trying to tell me it was okay. When I went to have it read a couple of days later, the nurse looked concerned. Maybe concerned was an understatement. She looked frightened. She called another nurse over and said, "Get the wheel." There is a wheel they use to measure the size of the swelling to determine if a person has TB or not. After measuring my arm with the wheel she determined that I did not have TB.
Also, at my physical yesterday, the doctor was listening to my heart. He looked at me and asked,"Have you always had an irregular heart beat?" I replied, "No, my heart is just fine." He walked around and began to check my reflexes. I asked him what was wrong with me and he just said, "Oh, I thought you had heart problems, but I guess you don't."
This explains some of my nervousness about going to the doctor.

"Oh I thought you had heart problems!!!" What a dummy. Don't say that unless your sure
aw you poor thing! i am the same way. that's why we end up being hypochondriacs. or at least i do.
i have to get a tetanus shot soon b/c i'm going on the week of e trip to new orleans and i need a new one. i'm nervous already. and i think i do silly things at the doctor too like lean back the wrong way. it's so uncomfortable and i just want to make sure i do exactly what they say!
I like how the Dr. just takes your word for it. "I don't have an irregular heart beat." "Oh, then my mistake."
I think you may be a Jedi.
So many memories of waiting in that ISU medical clinic for those dreaded TB tests. Your story of the "wheel," was by far the scariest though. I think we had to go get Ben and Jerry's after that scare to treat ourselves :)
