Jake and I watched something on MTV tonight about people with OCD. We never watch MTV, but came across it and decided to watch the show.
Do you ever think that you have it? I think I do, sometimes. Not to the extreme, but just a little bit. For example, I usually check to make sure the curling iron and hair dryer are unplugged about 6 times before I can leave in the morning. Sometimes that is not enough. I like to run my fingers over the outlet so that I can feel that it is unplugged. That makes me feel better. I also have a fear of leaving our fireplace (yep, I called it a fireplace again, Joel) on. I know that it is off, but I still like Jake to look at it and make sure that it is off. I pretend that I left it on and ask him to shut it off. In college I had this extreme fear of not locking my car. I would be sitting in class on a rainy day and feel like I didn't lock my car. Steph and Heidi would try to tell me that it is okay, but I still couldn't get it out of my mind. I would leave class, walk to my car (not close on ISU campus), and make sure that my car was locked. I am pretty sure it always was.
Do you have any OCD tendencies you would like to share?

this is so funny. Shannon and I watched that a few weeks ago and started talking about a million things we do like that. It always starts to freak me out b/c I know I have tendencies like that.
Like my fear of throwing up and I panic when I get nauseous.
Like how I type things in my head and I HAVE to break up large words and phrases into segments of 3, 4, or 5 letters to figure out how many letters are in the word or phrase (including punctuation and space bar).
Remember how you used to outline the TV and stuff? Hahahaha. We talked about that too. We should talk about this tonight when you're at my house!!!
Do I have any OCD tendencies? What do you think?! I need therapy. I wash my hands like 40 times a day, each time as if I'm preparing for surgery. People are not allowed to sneeze around me, and when they do I make them go wash their hands and then I wash my own. And I no longer touch door handles with my bare hands. I use tissues or the bottom of my shirt. I'm like two steps away from being locked up. Should I go on? Don't even get me started on my alarm clocks and locked doors. I have about a million other OCD things I could list. But you know them. I'm crazy.
I'm obsessed with initials and acronyms.

I can't see an unused Q-tip and not use on in my ear. I open the cabinet every morning and go "oh Q-tips" and have to have one.
What is wrong with fire place? That is the word I always use.
