Smoke Alarms

Have you ever installed a smoke alarm? I got 3 of them the other day to put in the perfect places so that we would be thoroughly warned if such a fire did occur. This was a first for me. Luckily, I had Heidi and Lilly to help with the adventure. We successfully put the batteries in and all the sudden they started to go off. We weren't pushing the test button, they just chose to go off on their own. Poor Lilly went crazy. She was rubbing up against them to try to get them to stop and it just made them go off more. Finally, we just set them down and they were silent. As I dispersed them around the house I carried them about 2 feet in front of me and out in the air as if they were a bomb. They are secure and have not gone off since. They do work, though because the test button works. Lilly is at peace and we are safe in our new home.

For a minute I thought we were going to have another incident like the horn going off and not stopping.

I can't believe you didn't invite me to your smoke alarm party. You know I would have driven the 11 hours to be there! Oh well. I'll see you...in church!

I wish funny things happened to Joel and I. I always look forward to reading your stories!
