Easier Said Than Done

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight." Proverbs 3:5

I turned down another job. It seemed perfect. It was a teaching assistant position at a school in town. The director called me b/c she said my resume stood out. She also graduated from the same high school as I did. I asked her how long she was looking to fill the position for and she wanted someone for the rest of the school year. I explained my situation as I turned down another job. She was a minister's wife for 12 years and she seemed to understand. She was also encouraging to us. It just seemed like a perfect opportunity and was even in 1st and 2nd grades.

I repeat the above verse to myself several times a day. It is still hard to close a door in hopes of another door opening in God's time and place. We look forward to the ministry we will serve in and know that God will make the path straight.

I really don't think he is dead. I think Syd and Jack slipped him some of that poison to make him appear to be dead. She seemed too calm. He will be back. Maybe not next week, or two weeks, but he will be back!!!
