Didn't I already talk to you???

Jake and I have been in the process of selling his old car. Here are a couple of conversations that Jake had with a guy about the car.

6:00 P. M. - Jake returns a phone call to a guy to tell him the car is still for sale.

Jake: Hello, this is Jake and I just wanted to let you know that the LeSabre is still for sale. Were you still interested in looking at it?

Guy: Yeah, man, I am very interested and I think I want to buy it. How much are you asking for it?

Jake: We are asking $450, but we are negotiable. It has new tires, newer breaks, but it needs the harmonic balancer replaced.

Guy: Great, I think I want to buy it, what time can I look at it tomorrow?

Jake: I get off work at 5, so how about 5:30?

Guy: Great, I have the money, I will call you tomorrow night.

10:30 P. M.- Jake's phone rings and it is that guy.

Guy: Yeah, I was just wondering if anyone has bought your car yet.

Jake: Um, didn't I talk to you earlier today? (in the back of his mind, "yes, you are buying the car, moron.")

Guy: No, I talked to some guy about a van, but I don't think I talked to you.

Jake: Okay, well, if I didn't talk to you at 6:00 tonight, then I guess the car is still for sale.

Guy: Great, I think I want to buy it, what time can I look at it tomorrow.

Jake: I get off work at 5, so how about 5:30?

Guy: Great, I have the money, I will call you tomorrow night.
