Time with Nolan

Nolan got all of his poker chips in his love jar. He asked me to go to the river and we had such a lovely time eating a special ice cream treat, finding shells, and walking along the canal. Nolan is such a sweet boy and I love watching him play and learn. We had a good system:  He would find some awesome rocks or shells, wash them in the river, hand them to me to dry and keep safe. Then repeat. He loves nature and appreciates the smallest details that a lot of people miss. Here are a few pictures from our evening.

Nolan:  "Mom, are you gonna clean the house?"
Me:  "Do you think I need to?"
Nolan:  "Yes, mom the floor......maybe you can at least clean the floor.."

I am ready to head to bed but I felt like I had several posts about Cam playing soccer and Austin walking and just wanted to update about Nolan.  Nolan is such a joy.  He doesn't miss anything and is so kind and sweet.  His energy is endless and his creativity is intriguing.  He knows more about the states than I do along with the countries and flags.  He gets hurt about 10 times a day but always wants some hugs and kisses.  This picture captures him so well.  He gathered all these goggles and put them on his wrists and called them his friends.  He kept saying that he was playing with his friends and named them all.  Cameron even joined in on the pretend play and they had a blast.  I love Nolan!

Interview with Nolan

I interviewed Cam when he was around this age so I thought it would be fun to see what Nolan had to say.

How old are you? three

When is your birthday?  On 3…..I don’t know….Saturday.  What day are my birthday?

Do you have brothers? Yes

What are their names?  Austin and Cameron

What do you like to play with?  mommy
What is your favorite color? blue

Who are some of your friends?  Austin and Cameron and mommy and daddy

What is your favorite movie?  Toystory

What is your favorite book? Dirt on my Shirt

What do you want to be when you grow up? nothing

What do you like to do at church?  Play with everybody

If you could be any train, who would it be?  Thomas

Do you take naps? Why?  Yes, because I’m tired

What did you get for Christmas?  A train, a wooden track (me and Cameron were waiting for a wooden track and now we have a wooden track)

Do you know how much I love you?  Um…..so much!

Nolan's 3rd birthday party

Nolan wanted a Diego party for his party and it was so much fun! It was awesome to see how much he enjoyed this day and my favorite picture of them all is him smiling when we sang him Happy Birthday!  Best smile ever!  Here are some memories from this day :)
