Jake's Birthday and the 4-H Fair

Jake turned 27 over the weekend and we had to celebrate it! We had our family over for some cake, ice-cream, food, games, bubbles, swinging, and kite flying!

I pre-made some decorations and blew up some balloons while Jake was at work so he wouldn't know about them. Well, Cameron found the balloons and asked Jake to get them out so they could play with them.

Hunter and Cameron wanted to glide together.

Evan worked on his alphabet.

The guys played bocce ball.

Jake blew out the candles on his cake and got them all on the first try. I think that look was, "How funny that you made me this basketball cake."

Cameron loved being with the grandmas!
On Monday we went to see Holle and she gave him more balls for his ball pit! He is one lucky little boy. He loves this ball pit.

Last night we went the 4-H fair. It was family night, so it was free to get in. They never had a free night when I was in 4-H. We went and had a good time. Places just aren't the same when you get older. They seem smaller as you get bigger. Anyway, we took Cameron to feed some horses........

Then, he saw some goats and cried when they came near him. They were very scary.

And he had to have my favorite ice cream at the fair- peppermint.

This is the sky we got to look at while we ate our ice cream! Isn't it just amazing....

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Go Cubs!
