The Search For The Diaper Champ

Jake and I were given a diaper champ as a gift. It was awesome and what we wanted, but it was pink and Cameron is a boy. We discovered why we were given a pink one after we tried to exchange it for a white diaper champ.

The journey began at Target Store #1. We had our receipt taped to the box of our champ and went to exchange the pink for the white. We got to Target, opened up the trunk, and the receipt is not to be found. We looked everywhere and decided that we would try to exchange it anyway. It is not like we were wanting a refund or anything, right? So, after a 1/2 hour of confusion they finally figured out how to look on our registry and use that as a receipt and were willing to let us exchange the champ. Jake went to get the white one and found an empty shelf. So, he had an employee check the back to see if there were anymore in stock. There were not, so we got a gift card to go to another Target to get our champ.

This brings us to our next stop, Target store #2. No white diaper champs here, either. They checked the back and then checked nearby stores to see who had any left. It turns out that Target store #1 has 4, they just didn't know it or the report was wrong. Luckily the next town over had 3. We went back to the car to confirm the report and the phone number we were given was changed. We tried calling the new number and that number was no longer in service. So, we took our chances with this Target store #3 anyway in hopes of getting the white champ. We got there to find not 3, as was reported, but 1, the last white diaper champ in the entire world. Now we don't have to dispose of Cameron's excretions in a girly champ!

What's a diaper champ? Is that something you win or something you become? Back in the little Jake and little Dave days, we just threw them in the garbage .... the diapers, that is!

How does a diaper champ compare to a diaper genie?

What are you doing Thursday? Not this Thursday, but next Thursday. Cause I was thinking we should hang out. If you're busy then, I'm free again sometime around the 25th of next month. Is that good for you? I just want to make it clear that I geniunely want to make real plans. I'm not just avoiding you.
