Some are you are familiar with the bit Brian Reagan does about the time he was driving a friends car and there was a short in the horn. The horn would go off every 8 seconds on its own. We have a similiar problem but different because his horn would go off for a brief second. Ours will turn on and not shut off without smacking the steering wheel. I realized this problem over the summer, usually on hot days. It seemed to stick. I would be turning or come to a 4-way stop and my horn would go off until I found the exact spot to hit it. It hasn't happened since maybe August.
At 6:00 this morning Jake woke up and he heard a noise that sounded like a car alarm, but it was constant. He layed there for awhile not really concerned with it, until he realized that it should have quit by now. He sat up, opened the window and it was a car in our parking lot, and realized that it had a strong possibility that it was our car (with its past tendencies). He ran outside and went between both cars. I was watching out the window by now to see him pivoting back and forth between both his car and mine. It was so loud, he couldn't decide who's it was. He opened the door to my car, slapped the wheel, and it shut off. Then, he had to come back inside to get some pliers to pull out the fuse.
It is never fun to wake up suddenly, but to wake up from a loud, annoying horn, that is your fault, and the rest of the apartment complex wants to kill you at 6:00 in morning, it is never good, either.
