2 reasons I love my cat

Reason #1

Lilly sleeps with us. She never used to be allowed to, but as long as she is not on the bedspread she can sleep on the bed.

5:30 am- I wake up to Lilly sitting on my stomach. She is purring in my ear and eating my hair. I laughed and thought it was kind of cute.

6:00- I woke up to Lilly sitting on my back. I had rolled over and tried to pretend to be alseep, but she just couldn't help herself.

She has only done this a couple of other times. That has been when she is out of food and she wants us to get up. I still didn't want to get up so I just let her sleep on me. Jake woke up later to find her just laying on my back. I got up to feed her. She didn't need fed. She still had several food morsels in her dish. She was just lonely and wanted to lay on me.

Reason #2

I have mentioned in previous posts about how Lilly has her own camp chair and she spends several hours out on the deck in her chair. She knows that she has to be in the chair if she is going to stay outside. Occasionally, she gets curious and starts to edge her way off of the chair. She also knows that if she gets off the chair, she comes right inside. The past few days, she has been pretty curious. She has ventured off of her chair. Jake went outside and no more than bent down to pick her up and she jumped in the chair and laid down before he could even pick her up. She meowed (apologizing) and promised to stay in her chair, which she does. Now, she is so trained, all we have to do if she ventures off is open the door and point to her chair. She knows to jump right in it!
